This version of the Report has fewer graphics than normal for easier reading. Let's call this special Stardust Report something more appropriate... THE STATE OF LUX VIATORES ADDRESS
For some of you Lux Viatores has been your home even before we were called LUX. For others, you joined after the foundation was paved, after the walls were built, and after the roof was placed on our home. Regardless of when you joined, how long you've been here or how long ago others left, we would not be here if it weren't for each and every person here. From myself, Zaraeleus, and Repliforce, we want to thank you all for being the best group of Guardians, Heroes, and Agents we've had the opportunity to unite. You've shared your stories with us. You've shown off your rewards and loot. Some of you have even gone as far as to brand your various social pages with our LV logo. Each one of you make us truly proud to be part of LUX.
As 2016 comes to a close and we start to look ahead to the new year, some of you may already have a resolution in mind to better yourself. Well LUX has it's own resolution as well and today we want to share that with you. Before we explain it and what that means for everyone here, we want to take a moment to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and whatever other holiday you may celebrate, many well wishes to you. We would also like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year for January 1st. Between now and then, we won't have any other major updates being posted. Our next Stardust Report will be mid January, and oh will it be different.
Now on to the big announcement some of you have heard whispers of through the chats. While Destiny is the birth place of LUX and we cannot wait to return to whatever crazy adventure Bungie has in store for us in the future, we understand and have made it very clear that we see the decline happening. Fewer players in our group are engaged in defending The Last City. The only real content keeping players active are Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris, and even those numbers have fallen to unfathomable levels. Your friends have moved on and you've held on for as long as you can. We hear you. We see you. We're there with you.
Knowing the numbers have dropped, we still have received a good flow of members via the Bungie forums, but that isn't good enough. You demand people to play with, and more games to talk about. We've opened numerous chat rooms and you guys have jumped in head first... but you've been limited to just the Destiny LUX community. Brace yourself ladies and gentlescrubs... today we officially announce the new LUX GAMING COMMUNITY.

Powered by BAND, and connected via numerous avenues, the LUX GAMING COMMUNITY will allow you to bring in your friends who maybe didn't want to leave their own Destiny clan, into our network. LGC will be open for all friends of LUX members, and anyone else who would like to connect through the fast and free world of BAND. Our seperate game chats we have now will transition over to LGC and allow you to network beyond just the LUX family.
Along with the new BAND, we'll be making adjustments to our website to support and update our members on a regular basis. Our current Twitter account (@LuxViatores) will continue to stay active, but will now communicate gaming news and info YOU deem to be relevant.
Expect to see the LGC opening for everyone after January 1st. (Exact date to be announced)
We're super excited for the next evolution of Lux Viatores, and cannot wait to bring in new faces. Now some of you may be asking "Does that mean that LUX is going away?" or something along those lines... and the answer is no. LUX will remain a Destiny clan and have it's own Band specifically for our Destiny clan extensions to unite. Our clan rules will stay in effect, and self policing our chats for anyone not wearing a LUX tag will remain a key role. The Destiny side of LUX is our birth place, and we plan to keep that around through the next and future releases of Destiny.
CHANGES COMING TO LUX
As most of you noticed during our last Activity Check, many people responded yet some of those who responded haven't been active in any chatrooms since. While we want to keep our ranks in LUX as active members, the content drought has the entire Destiny community extremely hard. Large clans (larger than us) have seen upwards of 50% of their members go silent. Giving our members a chance to hold their place in LUX while exploring other games is one of the benefits of being a LUX member. We'll keep the quarterly Activity Check going, but removals will be strictly tied to non-response every 3 months. This change covers all four branches of LUX (LUX, LUX2, LUX3, and LVX).
Once Destiny 2 is released, we will again engage in a more aggressive and frequent monitoring of our clan activity in order to make everyone happy. Until that point, self-policing our chats is essential and are only 100% accurate way to monitor our ranks. If you encounter someone in our chats and they do not have an active LUX tag in-game, notify an admin as soon as possible so we can assess the situation.
CHANGES COMING TO OUR WEBSITE
As previously mentioned in a Stardust Report, updates of our other involved games will start showing up on our website in their own feed. Overwatch, Final Fantasy, Paragon, patch notes, news, and much more.
We would LOVE to enlist the help of our LUX family to help keep these topics up-to-date. (WLinden: "I try to keep as much info up to date in BAND as possible, and updating online isn't super fast to do... so any help is appreciated!") If you'd like to help with a game, please feel free to message WLinden with the game you're willing to post info for. To keep things under control, please do not take on more than one game. You'll be given access to write on our website's blog tool, so sourcing of your info will be needed on all posts.
UNIQUE TITLES FOR 2016
An idea was suggested months ago for some fun clan titles folks could earn this year. While the idea of titles in our clan has been reserved for event victors, these titles are more for fun... similar to a high school "Most Liked" or "Best Dressed" type title.
Knowing that, starting bright and early on December 23rd until the end of the year, you may nominate and vote folks you find deserving of the following "crowns"
King of Salt (Who has raged out the most/worst you've heard?)
Lord Earl Grey (Who made tea bagging their scummy stamp of disapproval?) It is important to note that we do not encourage nor do we support initially tea bagging at all, however we do understand a counter-bagging.
The Kool-Aid Man (Who pulled of amazing uses of their Super?)
Best Dressed (Submit a picture of your Guardian to WLinden, and we'll post it for a vote)
Mr. (or Mrs.) High-Five (Who was the most positive/encouraging person you played with?)
Joe Cool (Who was the most relaxed person in a raid?)
Captain Jack Sparrow (Who could lead a raid and still be fun/funny?)
BOUNTY HUNTER of THE YEAR
With the year coming to an end, and our Destiny side of things slowing down, we're crowning the Bounty Hunter of the Year. This award goes to the Guardian with the highest point total since the inception of our Bounty Hunter program. The program itself was a great success and saw a lot of attention early until content died down.
When new content returns, we'll launch another clan bounty. Expect bounties to be a returning program with the new Destiny game whenever it comes out. For now, let's give a round of applause to KILLER_OF_EPICZ, rocking a massive 200+ points throughout the last quarter of 2016!
LUX VIATORES: XERO ~ OUR PvP BRANCH
What would our State of LUX Address be if we didn't take a moment to address LVX?

As of the end of this year, LVX has successfully grown to 29 members and has seen a consistent 20 members active in chat over the last 4 weeks. LVX has seen a few changes that really have improved the activity levels, and is working to improve even more. Weekly Practice is a huge piece of growing to work as a team and should be treated as a priority. We will NEVER ask you to participate if real life situations get in the way, but missing practice after practice will not help anyone. Going into the new year, there will be a major discussion about attendance and what numbers will be tolerated for absentees.
To keep things going, make sure you speak up in the main LVX chat about any ideas you have to get people involved! While the Weekly Practice is a huge piece, feel free to snag fellow XERO members and run independent challenges... set up a 1v3 in private matches and use one type of weapon/skill, or limit the 3-man team to only one of their supers during the entire match, or whatever challenge you think can help each of you improve! Create sniper challenges, practice grenade throwing, or even just run a call out challenge with one team standing in various locations and the other running around a map to practice call outs and locating enemies.
We'll be working to get clan vs clan matches set up once or twice a month... but the success and frequency of these matches will depend on the dedication of LVX. Have fun, work hard, and stay frosty.
