What is the LVX Combat Report?

The LVX Combat Report is your weekly cup of coffee, weekly review and newspaper all-in-one. Sit back, relax and enjoy!

Weekly Practice Information:

Here are this week's map and mode selections for weekly practices. This week's random bonus selections are Thieves' Den and Bannerfall.

  • Clash

  • Supremacy

  • Zone Control

  • Asylum

  • The Burning Shrine

  • The Cauldron

  • Rusted Lands

  • Exodus Blue

  • Twilight Gap

  • Thieves' Den*

  • Bannerfall*

*Weekly bonus map selection. Random each week.

While we're on the topic of practices we've also changed how they will work. It's a very basic change that we feel should improve the overall practice experience:

  • Group Practices will no longer have a mode and map voting form. Instead each team will take turns selecting a map and mode between matches.

  • We want people to practice whenever possible- group up with people in our LVX Chat or the regular LUX Crucible Chat and do some practice on any of the above maps and modes and report your Post-Game Carnage Report to one of the LVX Leaders.

If you cannot make the weekly group practice, you should spend an hour or two doing an independent practice on your own with some people in the LVX Chat or LUX Crucible Chat. Any practice time is better than no practice time.

LVX Join Requirements

A common question we've been asked a lot lately is what are the requirements to join LVX are. Here's the requirements:

  • Must have at least a 0.95 K/D across all characters.

  • Must have spent at least 1/3 of total play-time in the Crucible.

Whether you recruit someone internally from LUX or externally through Bungie.net, Reddit or some other source, these are what we check for when evaluating new potential members.

A Change of Leadership

As many of you know, and many of you don't know, one of our first LVX Leaders, The_Newb_Shot has decided to switch to Xbox One. Because of this, the entire leadership structure within LVX has changed. Here is how our Leadership is structured now:

LEADERS: HawkZoned & ImAnInsomiac

These two are the heads of LVX and are responsible for approving/denying and tracking pretty much anything that goes on in LVX. Any major concerns or suggestions for LVX should be directed to them.

ADVISOR: CrippledNipplas

Crip is an advisor to our Leaders and provides crucial feedback as needed to help our community grow in the right direction.

MENTORS: ExaltedPanda- & Thunder_God6776

These two should be the most involved members of LVX who are participating in practices weekly and providing feedback to everyone. If you have questions regarding how to improve your PvP skill, these two are the ones you should seek out and address first.

Taking A Trial Run

Beginning this week we are issuing a Crucible Challenge to everyone. This challenge is available until 12am PST on Saturday.

Normally, how this would work is that every week as soon as the post is made on the LVX Wall you have until 12am PST on the Saturday of that week. Everyone who completes it will be awarded a certain amount of Combat Points (works the same as Bounty Hunter Points in the main LUX branches) that can be used to earn and keep a special clan title. Because this is a trial run, however, no points will be awarded this week.

We encourage everyone to take up the challenge and give us some feedback on it as soon as possible. If all goes well and everyone enjoys it, you can expect to see these appear much more often, perhaps even on a weekly basis.

Leaders' Thoughts

Much great change has sparked in LVX and it's an amazing thing that we hope to keep going. Recruitment is going well and many new faces are beginning to appear within our ranks.

This past week overall has been very positive and we hope to see it stay this way.
