Talk about surprises... this week has been full of them! Gaming news, Destiny add-ons, and much more. My hype hasn't really dropped yet for Overwatch news, but we'll get to that soon enough. Let's get to it!

The activity check will be posted first thing tomorrow morning and will stay posted for the entire week. This is a REQUIRED check for all LUX members and LVX members. If you do not select an option you may end up in the Pending Removal chatroom. If you fail to respond or end up in the Removal chat, you can still redeem your LUX tag by simply responding in that chat. Pending Removals will sit in that chat for 2 weeks before their tags and seats are opened up.

In regards to actual info, this week has been full of surprises. Tuesday saw the surprise launch of raid challenges.; this week being the Vosik Challenge. Along with the challenges, Trials of Osiris returned with the special "spooky" modifiers including the spider falling in front of your scope when zoomed. No revives and no radar... still so many shotguns.
Other big announcements include the return of Iron Banner being announced, and the confirmation that on Tuesday there will be the Aksis Challenge. Can you conquer the new challenges?
Lady Efrideet awaits you, Guardians... and this time she's bringing new toys. Make sure to swing by The Iron Temple on Tuesday after 10am PST to pick up your bounties before diving into Iron Banner: Control.
Rewards this time around include the chest and leg armors, The Clever Dragon pulse rifle, and The Silvered Dread machine gun.
This weekend's map is ANOMALY! (This week has last week's special twist to Trials... no radar and no reviving. Good luck!)

Could you feel the 8.0 magnitude quake from Blizzcon yesterday? Damn! Bombshell after bombshell was dropped, but let's get right to the big news we've been dying to hear....
SOMBRA IS COMING!
Confirmed at Blizzcon, the long wait for Sombra is nearly over. First she will make her debut on PC before gracing the console world with her hacking skills. Sombra appears to be a very tactical defense/support player. Check out the video below for a glimpse at the new fun we can all expect to see soon.
Along with the reveal of Sombra, we were shown new modes and maps coming in the near future. Most important of the mode announcements includes the new Arcade Mode.
Arcade Mode will host multiple options for heroes to select... from 1v1 to 6v6 and more. "Mystery Duel" is a 1v1 match played on a new smaller map; Ecopoint. This map is set in Antarctica and appears to be home to Mei’s research facility. Ecopoint will serve as the setting for Mystery Duel. Elimination is a 3v3 mode in which two teams of three fight in a best of 5 contest. Unlike other modes, teams will be stuck with their heroes for the entire round.
Overwatch’s existing Brawls, like Super Shimada Bros., High Noon and MOBAwatch, will be available as part of a playlist in Arcade mode. Blizzard also noted that new Brawl types are in the works, including one in which teams are composed of only Lucios and Reinhardts. Arcade mode’s "No Limits" type is where anything goes. (This would be for all of you who like to run 6 Bastions... yeah, we're looking at you Scummy McScum.)
It is important to note Blizzard is making a major change to Quickplay mode: Very soon they will be instituting the same single-hero limit it introduced to Competitive Mode. No more double or triple Torbs in Temple of Anubis.

CURRENT EVENT: Blind Doubles
This new event is going to be interesting to watch how it works out. For weeks, this event has been getting tweaked and re-written. It's finally ready to go!
All who wish to participate simply need to turn in 3 scores on designated days. The top scores will be paired with a random member of the participants and combined. (In the event of odd numbers, the odd-man-out after shuffling will have their score doubled. We'll do at least 3 waves (more if we have enough people) and crown winners.
The mode: Iron Banner Control
Round 1 starts Tuesday and ends Wednesday evening. Get your scores in ASAP!
