WELCOME BACK!
It's good to see you all here again. Welcome to our new members, and hello to all the boys, girls, men, women, amoebas, toasters, and apache helicopters among us. This week we're dumping A METRIC TON of info on you guys! (Ok, might be a slight exaggeration, but you get the idea. Pack a lunch, grab your ghost, and push forward into the Plaguelands as we deliver this new dish of news.
NEW TO THE COMMUNITY OR BAND?
Make sure your name on BAND is your PSN (not a variation of it). Another acceptable display name is your PSN followed by your first name in brackets.

LUX IMPORTANT INFO
- LUX VIATORES XERO launches tonight. This new branch will be specific to our PvP focused members. Members in this group are not required to be part of any MLG affiliation, but if you intend to push your limits in the new frontier created with Custom Matches, we do have a few requirements in order to get into this group.
Must have Crucible time equal to or greater than 1/3 of your total play time.
Your COMBINED Kill/Death Ratio (KDR) across all characters must be a [.90] or greater. (KDR's at or above [.90] shows that you have potential to fill in for any competitive teams that form.
Willing to participate in ANY playlist presented in a PvP Challenge.
(Bonus) Willing to participate in clan PvP Events to represent LVX.
NOTE: While these guidelines should help to keep things competitive in LVX, "lead" members in LVX can "recruit" members from any branch of Lux Viatores. "Lead" members will be determined in two weeks. .
- Wednesday saw the launch of the new EVENTS tab on our Band app. This new tool allows anyone to create an event on a specific day at the time they would like to meet. All events posted can be set up to your timezone and will be automatically adjusted for anyone viewing the listing! Ideally, this will help raid groups, and Custom PvP Matches, as well as any fireteam focused needs. Give it a try!
- Weapon reviews from our friendly Forgemaster should be returning soon. With Rise of Iron almost two weeks old, we want to give Chex a chance to pick through some of the new goodies. If you have a suggestion for a piece of gear to review, throw it in the Forgemaster's Bench chat. (You can also submit your own custom review of a weapon using the Weapon Review form located on our website.)

We wanted info... we got a lot of info. Let's start with the current excitement some of you are participating in right now. Let's talk about Trials of Osiris.
Brother Vance is the man with the path to destruction. Make your way to The Reef, pay your respects to the missing Queen, and pick up your Trials Passage Card as well as your Trials Bounties. This weekend's Trials map is Last Exit; a new map from the Rise of Iron expansion.
We've learned that Year 2 ToO gear is still dropping from post match rewards. DO NOT PANIC! This is intentional and does reward at higher than 320 Light. If you want to claim the new Year 3 rewards you must complete your bounties just like you normally would.
Remember to snap a screenshot from The Lighthouse if you're one of the lucky few to go Flawless this week!! We'll make sure to post the pictures in our next update!
While many are excited to see Trials of Osiris open again, even more are anxiously awaiting the return of the Iron Banner. Many questions are still unanswered regarding what role Lord Saladin will play now that he has returned to Felwinter's Peak.
Some rumors state that we will have a new vendor running the Banner (you know who we're talking about). While we cannot confirm who may be taking up the helm, we will definitely recap everything next week! For now, let's lay out the details shared with us, as well as what we will be doing as a clan.
The flames of the Iron Banner will ignite on Tuesday morning, 10am PST. Upon launch, make sure you head to the Iron Temple to speak with Lord Saladin before diving into the battles. This time around, Guardians can earn the new autorifle and shotgun, as well as various armor pieces. (Appears to be the new gauntlets and class items)

guardians of the month
Let's get right to the big news! It's that time of the month where we highlight two Guardians wh ohave made an impact in our community. This also marks the first time since we started this program that we had someone suggested for the honors, and received positive feedback to support the suggestion.
Without any further delay.... CONGRATULATIONS TO...
The_Newb_Shot & Infamous_Trace!!
Both of these Guardians have helped to create a fun and engaging environment with out members. Along with the positive experiences they provided, these two are in good standing with the community overall and are what we would like to consider as role-models for how to engage in our chats.
Infamous_Trace was suggested by two members of our community for going above and beyond by helping a non-member with their progress prior to Rise of Iron... that non-member was a family member of one of the people who suggested Trace. From the admins and our community, thank you for living our core values, even with non-Lux members.
We will have the usual fun questionnaire for them, and we'll share their responses next weekend. (If you have a fun, unique question you'd like to add to the questions, please send it to WLinden!).
WRATH OF THE MACHINE GLORY!!
When the new raid launched, we threw out the challenge to the clan: "Who will be the first all LUX team to complete the raid?" Until today we hadn't received any names or screenshots claiming the glory.... well it finally happened!
Let's give a huge round of applause to the team of: Zaraeleus, XxSkeleknightxX, Lexi_Flexi, IEnSD, Kharazidusk, and Buckshot_Cell!!
Outstanding job, Guardians!! You all have earned a one-time bonus 20 points to use at any point before the end of this year in our Bounty Hunter program. For glory!!
GEAR OF THE WEEK
Our FORGEMASTER is taking a much needed break from the Gear of the Week reviews. Expect to see the return of The Forge in the next week or two.
