WELCOME BACK!

Hello again Lord Guardian, and welcome to another weekly Stardust Report. This week we were given new challenges to complete, new enemies to slay, and new rewards to plunder. We've seen the top of the mountain (literally) and we've finally started to learn of the unfortunate demise of the original Iron Lords. For most, the goal this week was to hit as close to Light Level 365 before the new raid was launched... many pushed for those ranks and some managed to fly beyond it. While we won't go into too many details, we will be providing some helpful advice for those still climbing the ladder.

NEW TO THE COMMUNITY OR BAND?

  • Make sure your name on BAND is your PSN (not a variation of it). Another acceptable display name is your PSN followed by your first name in brackets.

  • Make sure you have an avatar; It’s so much easier to figure out and associate who is talking.

  • We have a few simple rules to help keep our clan awesome…

  • 1. Be respectful, to your clanmates and admins. Harassment, arguing, or general misconduct are the fastest ways to be removed from the clan.

  • Reports of RAGE QUITTING will receive one warning.A second offense will result in removal from the clan. (Rage quitting is defined as rudely exiting a game; whether that is PvP, or PvE related. We're all adults here, act like it if something is going wrong)

  • 2. Be helpful. No one likes a lifeless group or a lack of a team for challenges. Hop in a new fire team every now and help out.

  • 3. Have fun and be mature. Joking around is ok, but let’s keep it relatively clean and appropriate. You’ll be warned once if you cross a line. Don’t be that guy to get booted for breaking a rule. No one likes that guy.

LUX IMPORTANT INFO

- For those waiting for Lux Viatores XERO to open, we have some good and bad news. The bad news is that the Bungie.net clan system is a bit glitchy at the moment so we cannot add some players. The good news is that LVX will open up next week. We will outline the requirements to join this new PvP specific part of our community, and reveal what we hope will be a fun new feature this particular group will likely utilize a lot.

- Starting this week, we will be opening the EVENTS section of Band for everyone to use. A few quick notes before we actually open the function up:

This is a test to see if the system will work. Please do not abuse the tools we set up for everyone.

If you post an event, host that event.

We'll have full guidelines posted the day the EVENTS feature is opened up. If we can use the feature without abusing it, it will likely stay active and will make things much easier for everyone regarding fireteam building for raids, farming, etc.

- The King's Fall raid has been replaced, and that means we too needed to make some adjustments. For those still looking to trek into The Dreadnought and slap ol' Oryx around, you can now form your fireteams in the OLDER RAIDS chatroom. In place of KF, the new Wrath of the Machine raid is set up in the RAID chatroom. To help keep things organized, if you happen to see someone asking for KF teams in the main raid chat, please politely direct them to the OLDER RAID chat. (If needed, an admin can "invite" members into the OLDER RAID chat.)

- Weapon reviews from our friendly Forgemaster should be returning soon. With Rise of Iron still less than a week old, we want to give Chex a chance to pick through some of the new goodies. If you have a suggestion for a piece of gear to review, throw it in the Forgemaster's Bench chat. (You can also submit your own custom review of a weapon using the Weapon Review form located on our website.)

FROM BUNGIE

Check out this week's update from Bungie right HERE

This week, Bungie launched Destiny: Rise of Iron... and we dove head first into the new content. Refreshed strikes, new PvP maps and the new Supremacy mode, new public space. Lots and lots of new challenges and lots of new loot.

"The Iron Temple has been reclaimed and we have you to thank for it." ~ Lord Saladin

Let's start this glorious occasion with a look at the first exotic EVERY guardian who completes the main story, The Young Wolf's Howl. This beautiful new sword is truly fit for an Iron Lord, such as yourself. While dealing solar damage, the mighty new blade can also have its appearance altered with the newly introduced Ornaments, to better suit each guardian's style.

We won't go into all of the new loot, but expect to see a lot of near perfect roll Faction weapons available at each vendor. More importantly than loot, is the content itself. Along with the new Plaguelands area (an semi-extension to The Cosmodrome) we also received a new strike and two remastered strikes.

First on the radar should be the remastered Devil's Lair strike, culminating with the battle between you and Sepiks Perfected. While the mechanics are basically the same, the re-skinning of the strike does create a more chaotic battle and forces players to really move around.

Next on the list for most guardians following the new pathways would be The Wretched Eye strike. This new strike is honestly pretty fun to do, and a bit lengthy compared to most other strikes. Guardians will find themselves working through new environments in The Plaguelands while they work toward the final boss. This fight requires a bit of coordination, and an awareness towards watching the ogre's movements and the Arch Priest. Watch out for those pesky Shanks as they descend from the ceiling about halfway through the battle!

Finally, most Guardians will find out about this strike while grinding the SIVA Crisis Strike lists, but our old friend Phogoth and his brood of Hive have received a remastered strike as well. The Abomination Heist takes our guardians down a very familiar path battling swarms of more aggressive Hive. This strike has a few curveballs thrown from the original strike, but takes you to the same final battle. Phogoth will be well protected this time around, and a handful of sword bearing knights shake things up on the ground. This strike is by far the most enjoyable of the three.

As with every strike, the new Horde Chests will give you a chance to pick and choose with loot you want to try for. Remember (or FYI if you didn't know), you'll need a Skeleton Key to open any strike specific chest! Check out the loot below!

For Warlocks: The Sepiks Deposed bond can drop from the Sepiks Perfected strike.

For Titans: The Anathema Cannon mark can drop from The Wretched Eye strike.

For Hunters: The Mongrel Ogre's Grasps can drop from The Abomination Heist strike.

From all three of the new strikes you have a chance to pull the Devils Dawn sniper rifle. This sniper has the same perks no matter which strike you pull it from, but you can get it in any element.

Some advice for those working on leveling up your characters to 365 or higher for the raid:

  • Do not infuse gear for as long as possible. If you get caught infusing your blues into your purples, you'll end up depleting your Legendary Marks before you really need them! Sport those blues for awhile unless absolutely necessary.

  • Engrams do have a light cap for decrypting... blues cap at 340, purples cap at 365, exotics cap at 385. We do have reports of these caps not being active, so this is mostly correct at the moment.

  • Save your exotic engrams until you're closer to 365 Light. Decrypting at a lower light is really just wasting your time and resources. Wait as long as you can!!

  • Level up your specific factions for Faction Reward Packages. You can get some really nice gear at high light fairly easily. (Pro tip: If you can spare the Strange Coins to do this, stock up on Heavy Ammo Synths and turn them in to your faction. 100 SC = 300 Heavy Synths = 3 Faction Rank Ups)

admin thoughts

Thank you all for your understanding with the last two Stardust Reports being shorter than normal. Juggling a new work schedule, kids starting school, and parental duties has been a battle. Things are starting to calm down so content and news will be returning to normal.

Thanks for reading this week’s

STARDUST REPORT!
