WELCOME BACK!
Another week, another lump of info for you all. We start this week with a message from WLinden: " I need to first start off with an apology for the delay with this week's report. This week was the first week of school for my kids, and my first week on a new schedule at work, as well as my wife being on a work trip for three days. Needless to say, my hands were full all week long. I'll make up for the lack of report this week, in next week's report."
Now, on with the goods.
NEW TO THE COMMUNITY OR BAND?
Make sure your name on BAND is your PSN (not a variation of it). Another acceptable display name is your PSN followed by your first name in brackets.
Make sure you have an avatar; It’s so much easier to figure out and associate who is talking.
We have a few simple rules to help keep our clan awesome…
1. Be respectful, to your clanmates and admins. Harassment, arguing, or general misconduct are the fastest ways to be removed from the clan.
Reports of RAGE QUITTING will receive one warning.A second offense will result in removal from the clan. (Rage quitting is defined as rudely exiting a game; whether that is PvP, or PvE related. We're all adults here, act like it if something is going wrong)
2. Be helpful. No one likes a lifeless group or a lack of a team for challenges. Hop in a new fire team every now and help out.
3. Have fun and be mature. Joking around is ok, but let’s keep it relatively clean and appropriate. You’ll be warned once if you cross a line. Don’t be that guy to get booted for breaking a rule. No one likes that guy.
LUX IMPORTANT INFO
- We still have spots open in LUX2 for anyone from LUX3 to take up. The idea is for LUX3 to be our welcome wagon, while LUX, LUX2 and LUX0 are for the more seasoned or specialized players.
- Last week we introduced the new LUX VIATORES XERO branch coming for Rise of Iron, and many wanted to join it. As ROI approaches, we will begin to lay the foundation for our new PvP focused branch. Our initial plan was to introduce LVX prior to ROI, but will be waiting for the new clan system to be implemented before we do anything. More information next week with "leadership" positions we will be opening in LVX.
- Weapon reviews, subgroup signups and rosters, and much more was launched last week on our website. You guys asked for it, we made it happen. If you haven't had the chance to check out the forms, we have them all linked on our main Band page, as well as attached to their respective tabs online.

There is now just over a week until Rise of Iron, and very few chances to complete your Year 2 Moments of Triumph. Make sure you send out those requests ASAP! Weekly Fragment Challenges: Last chances to collect these fragments.

A BLADE REBORN (Sword Quests):
Each exotic sword quest requires a "wait for Armsday" step so completing your quest up to that step before September 7th is important. If you miss that mark, you cut the time very close.
ERIS MORN'S REVENGE (Fragments):
Outside of the 6 listed above for Court of Oryx and King's Fall challenges, the rest of the fragements can be done between now and September 19th. Most should take about an hour to find on Patrol, while a few require you to be in a specific mission. If you need to see what you're missing and where they are, visit Destinycalcifiedfragments.com and look up your info.
CHALLENGE OF THE ELDERS & RETURN TO THE REEF:
These two challenges are rather simple to do, and take only a day to complete. Complete the April Update storyline, ending with defeating Malok. Complete a full Challenge of the Elders sigil.
THE THIRD ELEMENT:
Leveling up your Stormcaller, Sunbreaker, or Nightstalker subclass SHOULD be done by now, but if not, get moving! You must have the previous two subclasses leveled up as well for your character.
THIS IS AMAZING (The Mountaintop):
Use the Crucible chatroom to find folks to help. This quest is simple enough if you focus and have fun but does require some dedicated PvP time. Don't stress on it, and it'll just kinda happen.
THE SWORD LOGIC (Oryx KF Hard):
Complete the King's Fall raid on hard mode.... that's it. If you would like to request an event to be posted you will need to send the date and time (with your timezone) that you want to do the raid to WLinden. All requests MUST be in advance of the requested date/time. (No same day requests)

After an 8 hour maintenance, Bungie extended it an additional 2 hours. If 10 hours wasn't already painful, they extended it another 2 hours! Finally, after almost 12 hours of work we were given the thumbs up to land at The Tower. It wasn't long after that we learned things were not going as they should, and for once, some of those errors were beneficial!
To start, many new features were already visible (though not attainable), and reports began to fly in about the new sidearm, Trespasser, was already dropping from Exotic Special engrams. Praise Rahool!! Along with Trespasser gracing our vaults, we were able to view some of the new weapon ornaments. Check out the gallery below to see the weapons currently exposed.
Even larger than the previews and special surprises was the launch of another weapon balancing. A large batch of weapons were affected. Click HERE to read the full weapon balancing. Here's the TL:DR to ease the pain.... Shotguns went up, exotics went down, and snipers had their legs removed.

There has not been any new info since the launch of Competitive Season 2.
This weekend Overwatch was free for anyone on PSN. An absolutely perfect chance to try out the game if you hadn't already. The free weekend will end September 12th at 4pm PST. Get it while you can!
Along with the free weekend, Overwatch is on sale through the 15th for $10.00 off the regular price. If you can wait for the game to ship, this may be the deal for you.

guardians of the month
Last week we announced our Guardians of the Month, and this week we share a little about each winner. As a reminder, if you would like to nominate someone to be a Guardian of the Month, we have a recognition form you can fill out linked on our main Band page, as well as on our website.

1. While a good chunk of us know you two, a good chunk does not. Would you please sum up yourself and how long you've been playing Destiny?
V: " I've been playing destiny since day 1 of release with minor breaks for Elder Scrolls Online and most currently Destiny. I'm a mix of a PvE and PvP player. Though I mostly play PvP, though I'm always ready to help anyone that needs it."
S: "I'm a pretty laid back guy who loves cracking jokes and overall, having a good time with a game I actually enjoy sometimes. I use to be a big PvE player with vanilla Destiny and then Crota's End and House of Wolves. Once Taken King dropped, I really got into PvP. I've been playing Destiny really since the Beta first came out. Then when Destiny actually came out on PS3, I only played it for about a week and then Fifa 15 came out and i played that a lot, kinda losing touch with Destiny. After about a 8 or 9 month break, I got back into Destiny again in June of last year when I got a PS4. I've have been playing ever since." 2. What are you most excited for in the new Rise of Iron release?
V: " Not going to lie....I'm excited for Thorn."
S: "I'm pretty excited for the hot new storyline that is about to drop. Also the new crucible maps. And the new exotic sidearm. Pretty excited for the exotic Khvostov, the OG khvostov is one of my favorite weapons to use in Crucible. Oh yeah and that Y3 Thorn can go fall off a cliff, the salt is real about that. Haha" 3. Non-gaming question, Do you have any secret talents?
V: " I train in martial arts. Been training in both Japanese and Brazilian jujitsu."
S: "Ummm I was a percussionist from 6th grade to my Senior year of High School. That's 7 years so I know a little something something about drums and beats, everything is a drum in my mind. I've never beat boxed before but people keep saying that im good at it. Just kidding, I do and I know i'm good. Also, apparently i'm good at singing. I'm pretty funny as well and probably have about 20 something different lady friends, CP knows what i'm talking about. haha" 4. You two are chatting at the tower... and Cayde-6 walks up and tells you to rap battle. Hit us with your best verse...
V: "Yeah not happening... Not a talent of mine sorry."
S: "I'd be like 'Yo Fam... I can't rap but watch me drop this sick beat." 5. Where can we find you between now and Rise of Iron?
V: "Helping to run the neverwinter chapter of Lux."
S: "I try to stay pretty active in all the chats. Every once and a while I pop in a chat and say something. Most would find me in the Main chat or the Crucible chat with the Olivia Munn picture. Also if anyone wants to talk music or movies, because I love both, you could find me in the Music, Movies, and Media chat. Other than that, I am either chilling in the C.P Express group chat or running around in Destiny with Chex."
GEAR OF THE WEEK
Our FORGEMASTER is going to be taking a much needed break from the Gear of the Week reviews to get real life stuff going (school and such) while we finish the upgrades to his new Forge. Expect to see a new section next week and the return of The Forge once Rise of Iron launches.

I wanted to save two very important notes until the very end. First, let's address the Meme Chatroom and why it was shutdown today.
The Meme Chat was started as an unofficial offtopic chatroom, meant to be fairly free range on topics and a home for fun and ridiculous memes. While that goal was achieved for the most part, the room began to turn quite toxic, breeding an environment that is not what represents LUX in any fashion. After a handful of ridiculous complaints, some very valid complaints began to spawn. The decision was made to shut down the original Meme Chat for a fresh start. We're sorry this happened without an announcement, but the action was needed.
A new Meme Chat will be started very soon, with a new set of rules. It will not be as free range as it once was, but will still be a feelings-free zone. (To clarify, feelings free means unless the picture directly attacks someone or something listed as off-topic, you need to assume it was just funny to that person and was posted without the intent to offend anyone.) Certain topics will be absolutely banned from posting, and will result in instant removal from the community when reported. No one person is at fault for the room being closed, and no one is in trouble this time. We left the matches on the table and some of you decided to light the room up.. this time, we're trying to fire-proofing the room.
I also wanted to make sure this was the final note from this week's report. The date is 9/11, which is marked in history as one of the darkest days in US history. While not everyone in our community is from the US, we all know the story. As this is a day that deserves nothing but respect for those involved in rescuing victims, members of the armed forces around the world uniting to stand against terror, and acknowledgment of the sacrifices made by so many people on this day, it is with great respect that we thank everyone for the unbelievable sacrifices they made on that fateful day.
