WELCOME BACK!
Let's get right into things this week. Lots of quick news and some new info regarding what's coming next for LUX. This week's Report is a bit smaller than normal but still a healthy bit of info.
NEW TO THE COMMUNITY OR BAND?
Make sure your name on BAND is your PSN (not a variation of it). Another acceptable display name is your PSN followed by your first name in brackets.
Make sure you have an avatar; It’s so much easier to figure out and associate who is talking.
We have a few simple rules to help keep our clan awesome…
1. Be respectful, to your clanmates and admins. Harassment, arguing, or general misconduct are the fastest ways to be removed from the clan.
Reports of RAGE QUITTING will receive one warning.A second offense will result in removal from the clan. (Rage quitting is defined as rudely exiting a game; whether that is PvP, or PvE related. We're all adults here, act like it if something is going wrong)
2. Be helpful. No one likes a lifeless group or a lack of a team for challenges. Hop in a new fire team every now and help out.
3. Have fun and be mature. Joking around is ok, but let’s keep it relatively clean and appropriate. You’ll be warned once if you cross a line. Don’t be that guy to get booted for breaking a rule. No one likes that guy.
LUX IMPORTANT INFO
- We still have spots open in LUX2 for anyone from LUX3 to take up. The idea is for LUX3 to be our welcome wagon, while LUX, LUX2 and LUX0 are for the more seasoned or specialized players.
- I'm sure the eagle-eyed readers caught this... we will be introducing a PvP specific extension to LUX starting the 13th. LUX0 (Lux Viatores XERO) will be the new home for our PvP focused members. If you prefer to play in the Crucible, this will be your stomping ground. Along with the new extension, we will be working with those members to create a way to improve our PvP side of things to perhaps introduce members who want to learn how to survive longer in the eyes of Lord Shaxx. More info on LUX0 will be announced very soon. (Yes, this will be our official competitive branch.... Looking at you Chex and Potato... come on home)
- Weapon reviews are taking a bit longer than planned. The comments sections we've been trying to add is not functioning properly (as noted by the creator) so we're stuck waiting. We will have our form ready very soon though for feedback directly from Band. (All submissions will be reviewed to avoid spam reviews).
:-:-: MOMENTS OF TRIUMPH REMINDER :-:-:
This is a repeat of last week's info for those still tracking it.
Can you believe it? We're nearly there! Have you completed your Moments of Triumph yet?
There's a limited amount of time left to complete various parts of the Moments of Triumph. Let us run down the list for you and try to give you a road map to success. No matter what, don't stress... you can do this. Weekly Fragment Challenges: Last chances to collect these fragments.
This week - Golgoroth and Kagoor
Next week - Oryx and Thalnok (If another week occurs - Warpriest and Balwur.)
A BLADE REBORN (Sword Quests):
Each exotic sword quest requires a "wait for Armsday" step so completing your quest up to that step before September 7th is important. If you miss that mark, you cut the time very close.
ERIS MORN'S REVENGE (Fragments):
Outside of the 6 listed above for Court of Oryx and King's Fall challenges, the rest of the fragements can be done between now and September 19th. Most should take about an hour to find on Patrol, while a few require you to be in a specific mission. If you need to see what you're missing and where they are, visit Destinycalcifiedfragments.com and look up your info.
CHALLENGE OF THE ELDERS & RETURN TO THE REEF:
These two challenges are rather simple to do, and take only a day to complete. Complete the April Update storyline, ending with defeating Malok. Complete a full Challenge of the Elders sigil.
THE THIRD ELEMENT:
Leveling up your Stormcaller, Sunbreaker, or Nightstalker subclass SHOULD be done by now, but if not, get moving! You must have the previous two subclasses leveled up as well for your character.
THIS IS AMAZING (The Mountaintop):
Use the Crucible chatroom to find folks to help. This quest is simple enough if you focus and have fun but does require some dedicated PvP time. Don't stress on it, and it'll just kinda happen.
THE SWORD LOGIC (Oryx KF Hard):
Complete the King's Fall raid on hard mode.... that's it. If you would like to request an event to be posted you will need to send the date and time (with your timezone) that you want to do the raid to WLinden. All requests MUST be in advance of the requested date/time. (No same day requests)
FROM BUNGIE

Check out this week's update from Bungie right HERE
Another very short and mostly empty update from Bungie. The DOC section did provide some info regarding changes coming to Eververse and Treasure, as well as giving us a date and time for the big pre-ROI maintenance we were expecting.
September 8th, all Destiny services will be down from: 8:00am PST to 4:00pm PST (11:00am EST to 7:00pm EST)
Last week was Gamescom, this week is PAX West. While the guys behind our brain melting entertainment are getting ready to show off more of Rise Of Iron, we're left here to wait for video and pictures to hit the internet. Other than the PAX West announcement, Bungie did highlight the new involvment Destiny will have with MLG (Major League Gaming) as Destiny joines the eSports world. September 13th will have the first live broadcast of Destiny MLG gameplay, as some of the best Guardians battle it out for glory. If you'd like to watch the match, the event starts at 10am PST on the MLG website (www.MLG.tv/Destiny) or via Twitch (www.twitch.tv/MLG)

CURRENT EVENT: None (New events will be announced after Rise of Iron launches)
OVERWATCH MINI-EVENT: Tumbleweed!

"I want a ridiculous Overwatch event" - Unnamed LUX Member
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN AMAZING SO FAR!!
Ask and you shall receive. This event is pretty simple and a lot of crazy fun. While the modifiers aren't over the top, the effort needed to win is insane. Watch who your team is hitting, and roll into action to claim the elimination point.
Maps: Any Capture Point maps Modifiers: Health 100% // Healing 25% // Ability Cooldown 200% // Respawn 25%
Optional Modifiers: You may opt for one of these two bonus modifiers before each match - ONE person may use Dead Eye whenever it is ready while everyone else is restricted to just flashbangs and rolls.... OR everyone must hold their Dead Eye ult and may only use it during the final 2-minutes of each capture point
TWO NEW OVERWATCH EVENTS are coming. One for next week, and one for the free weekend. We would LOVE to see a bunch of you online next weekend!
guardians of the month
While we continue to grow as a community, it is important that we recognize our members for not only their in-game accomplishments, but out of game as well when possible. This month's Guardians of the Month are truly deserving of the glory and we hope that others will be equally as proud.
Congratulations to this month's GUARDIANS OF THE MONTH: Swango_Unchained & Valek_27
Next week we will have a special highlight on both of our guardians... for now, let's give them a big round of applause in appreciation for who they are and what they bring to our community!!
GEAR OF THE WEEK
Our FORGEMASTER is going to be taking a much needed break from the Gear of the Week reviews to get real life stuff going (school and such) while we finish the upgrades to his new Forge. Expect to see a new section next week and the return of The Forge once Rise of Iron launches.

admin thoughts
Zaraeleus is finally back and getting things set up. Hopefully we'll see more of him in chat and around the game soon. Repliforce is on hiatus for Destiny until Rise of Iron, but is available via PM if needed. We're chugging along, trying to get things ready for you all before ROI gets here. Just over two weeks!!!
