WELCOME EVERYONE!
What a crazy week we've had so far! Our community is actively engaged in our first tournament, BATTLE OF THE GODS, and we're prepping for another event next week! Along with the fun within the group, we've made a few changes to things in Band to better info you guys of what is going on. This week's update will cover a few of those changes, a few announcements, and introduce a new section! Without any further delay, let's get into things!
NEW TO THE COMMUNITY OR BAND?
Make sure your name on BAND is your PSN (not a variation of it). Another acceptable display name is your PSN followed by your first name in brackets.
Make sure you have an avatar; It’s so much easier to figure out and associate who is talking.
We have a few simple rules to help keep our clan awesome…
1. Be respectful, to your clanmates and admins. Harassment, arguing, or general misconduct are the fastest ways to be removed from the clan.
Reports of RAGE QUITTING will receive one warning.A second offense will result in removal from the clan. (Rage quitting is defined as rudely exiting a game; whether that is PvP, or PvE related. We're all adults here, act like it if something is going wrong)
2. Be helpful. No one likes a lifeless group or a lack of a team for challenges. Hop in a new fire team every now and help out.
3. Have fun and be mature. Joking around is ok, but let’s keep it relatively clean and appropriate. You’ll be warned once if you cross a line. Don’t be that guy to get booted for breaking a rule. No one likes that guy.
LUX IMPORTANT INFO
We have started our search for our group's next officer. The admins have yet to decide exactly what area we would like to see this person focused in or what role they will have, but we'll announce it here as well as through Band to keep you informed.
The CHATROOM BREAKDOWN is officially posted on our website. We'll be posting a link on the main page in Band for all new members to access and review the chat guidelines. As a reminder, please remember our clan rules when you're in our chats with multiple people. We've unfortunately had to issue a few warnings to folks for dancing on that line of taking things too far. Don't be the first person to get banned from our community for a poorly thought out comment!
LUX BOUNTIES are coming soon. Over the next two weeks, I (WLinden) will be focused on outlining what a bounty is and how to complete it, as well as creating the graphics and space to list all of our winners. As we iron out what will be the best and most fun way to do bounties, we'll share thoughts with the group and get your feedback! We want this to be fun, so we need your help to make it so.
FROM BUNGIE

This week Bungie we learned nothing new. No jokes here... Expect to see something substantial next week for Bungie Day (7/7)
FROM BLIZZARD

Check out the update from Blizzard regarding Overwatch right HERE.
PATCH NOTE: Posted 7/1/16 a new patch is available for PS4 which enables Competitve Mode, and brings all of the character adjustments listed below.
Over the last week or so, Blizzard has been hard at work reading over our concerns with characters, perks, and bugs in the game that have come up. Similar to Bungie, Blizzard has posted a recap of the response and hit a few key topics worth discussing. Here's a few of the hot topics we've heard you guys ask about. (If you'd like more, click the link above for the full article)
MAPS: New maps and game modes are in production and always are. While many do not make it beyond the discussion piece, some are actively being worked on.
WEAPONS: A new weapons section has been added to the Hero Gallery.
TORBJORN TURRETS: The infamous Torbjorn turrets are getting a nerf. Damage will be reduced by 30% due to the auto-aiming function of the turrets being unchanged from the PC version of the game.

Has been added as an AI hero in Practice.

LUX EVENTS
Currently Active: THE BATTLE OF THE GODS - 3v3 Tournament

As we enter the holiday weekend we have seen a handful of matches happen already. Some were nail biters, while others ran into some technical issues. Regardless of the conditions, there have been some amazing and hilarious moments. Below you'll find the current breakdown of teams and who has advance. (Team Bracket was updated at 12:30pm PST on 7/1/16)

Let's take a moment to also mention that we still have a week of this event left, so don't think you're out of the woods yet combatants. As the game continues, the matches now decrease in chances to redeem yourself. Playing a "Best of 3" style means you need to bring your A-game and play smart! We'll announce the winner of the competition in next week's Stardust Report, and we'll hold a small interview with the winning team!
Upcoming Event: MERCIFUL KNIGHTS - An Overwatch mini event

As our community continues to spill into Overwatch, we would like to start taking advantage of the custom game tools available to us. This first event will be a test run with the tools, as well as a feeler to help us decide on new events to hold. The details for this event will be posted in the Overwatch Chatroom as well as the main Band page when finished. Expect full rules by 7/5/16 in the afternoon. For now, we can tell you the match will be a Reinhardt and Mercy only match. Heroes Never Die!
IF YOU HAVE AN IDEA FOR AN EVENT, OR WOULD LIKE TO HOST AN EVENT FOR A SPECIFIC GAME, FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE WLINDEN VIA BAND.
GUARDIANS OF THE MONTH
Each month we will highlight two guardians who have made our community a fun and helpful place over the previous month. These two Guardians will also help us decide our next clan bounty. It is a great privilege to announce our first two Guardians of the Month! Let's say congrats to HawkZoned and ChexicanTaco98!!
Both of these guardians have used their time to help improve our group through various outlets. Hawk has been our recruitment champion since Day-1 of our existence and continues to bump the recruitment post. For the first two weeks, there wasn't a day that went by without his bumps or comments to applicants. Along with the recruitment post, until recently, Hawk was a frequent participant in our chatrooms, often times providing support and info to our members.
ChexicanTaco98 was our first officer, and for obvious reasons. Along with his knowledge and willingness to engage with the community in The Gun Rack chatroom, Chex is always helping folks in PvP, chatting in the main chatorom, and recently helped create and run the Battle of the Gods 3v3 Tournament along with Freddy_Teddy_25. Chex is an all-around respected member of our group and continues to lead by example.
Thank you to both Hawk and Chex again for making this community amazing! Expect a message from the admins sometime this week to discuss bounty ideas as well as a short interview!
GEAR OF THE WEEK
This week our Forgemaster takes our first look at a very unique piece of gear, the Nothing Manacles.

"Looking for something to try out for your Voidwalker build? Well have I got the exotic for you.
Nothing Manacles are, in my opinion, a must have for a Voidwalker build. Not only do they add an extra scatter grenade charge, but they add tracking to the grenade which can be devastating in both PvE and PvP.
I don’t know the exact numbers on the tracking but I can tell you from personal experience that it is significant and does its job. If you run the correct build on your Voidwalker you can get a grenade every 8 seconds, which is ridiculously fast."
PvP:
Tracking allows you to get more kills per grenade
Extra grenade charge allows for quick release of an extra grenade when you need it
PvE:
This build can also be awesome in Challenge of Elders when grenade kills are the modifier. Having a grenade every 8 seconds can net you a lot of points.
Tracking grenades allows for a lot of damage to lower level enemies.
"Aesthetic appeal: Uh glowing purple gauntlets? Yes please.
Equip your favorite shader and admire how good these gauntlets look haha. Well that is all from your Forgemaster this week; hope this quick review helped a bit. This is one of my favorite exotics, so I suggest you go and Chex them out!"
CLAN HIGHLIGHTS
Every week we ask that you send WLinden any cool videos you create, snapshots you capture, or anything related to the clan that YOU have a hand in making. Videos can come from Destiny, Overwatch, other games… It doesn’t matter! This is a section for you to show off what you do; just make sure you explain what you’re sharing! Once your video ends up here, we’ll move it to our gallery online!
This week’s highlights include:
