WELCOME EVERYONE!
Well we did it guys... we've reached that point where most of our tools are in place and everyone can look around as they please for info. Our website will see new content this weekend, as well as over the next week. Our Band page will get a cleaning to minimize all the Tournament posts we have up. You guys have made this week a fun one for sure, and we look forward to many more. For now, let's talk Lux stuff.
NEW TO THE COMMUNITY OR BAND?
Make sure your name on BAND is your PSN (not a variation of it). Another acceptable display name is your PSN followed by your first name in brackets.
Make sure you have an avatar; It’s so much easier to figure out and associate who is talking.
We have a few simple rules to help keep our clan awesome…
1. Be respectful, to your clanmates and admins. Harassment, arguing, or general misconduct are the fastest ways to be removed from the clan.
Reports of RAGE QUITTING will receive one warning.A second offense will result in removal from the clan. (Rage quitting is defined as rudely exiting a game; whether that is PvP, or PvE related. We're all adults here, act like it if something is going wrong)
2. Be helpful. No one likes a lifeless group or a lack of a team for challenges. Hop in a new fire team every now and help out.
3. Have fun and be mature. Joking around is ok, but let’s keep it relatively clean and appropriate. You’ll be warned once if you cross a line. Don’t be that guy to get booted for breaking a rule. No one likes that guy.
LUX IMPORTANT INFO
As some of you may have seen, we had a minor incident in our Meme Chatroom which led to some feelings being hurt and a reminder of what is expected in that chat. Other than that isolated incident, the chat remains unchanged. Later this weekend we will be posting a list and breakdown of what each chatroom is designed for and the expectations of those rooms. Don't panic, it doesn't mean the chats are now under martial law. We're simply posting the info in a single spot so anyone with questions can find out what is and isn't allowed in the chats.
In other exciting Lux news, we announced the first 3v3 Tournament and even gave it a cool name; THE BATTLE OF THE GODS. We want to take a moment to recognize two of our members for putting in some time this week to really iron out the details and make the event amazing: ChexicanTaco98 and Freddy_Teddy_25. Both of these guys have tossed ideas around and balanced this contest to be as fair as possible while still keeping it fun and interesting. This will also mark the first test of allowing members of our community to lead an event. If this is successful, we may see more members leading events in the future, rather than a singular event coordinator.
For more information regarding the event, check out the LUX EVENTS section below.
FROM BUNGIE
Check out this week's update from Bungie right HERE
This week Bungie fixed some of the errors that occurred with the 2.3.0 Patch we received last week. Along with those errors came the cancellation of both Trials of Osiris last weekend, and Iron Banner this week. Thanks to these new fixes, Trials has returned and is being played on Black Shield this week.

Bungie also made note of the potential for Iron Banner to return this coming Tuesday if Trials works without issue. If Banner returns, we'll make sure to post the info in Band, and update everyone on the rewards available.
Outside of the weekly update from Bungie, we have seen a growing hunger for information regarding the Year 2 - Moments of Triumph. While Bungie has confirmed that Moments of Triumph will return soon, they have yet to announce the official list. Thanks to our community and the work of some data mining, a member of our community may have sifted the info we need. The below image shows the eight items currently listed in the buried data files of the game.

Again it needs to be noted that no one from Bungie have confirmed these items to be correct, but they haven't denied them either. Regardless of approval, these eight items lay out a fairly clear path of what Year 2 gave us to conquer. If you're missing any of these goals, post in the main chat and let's work to get them done!
LUX EVENTS
THE BATTLE OF THE GODS has been announced!
This coming Tuesday we will launch the full event and let you guys fight for glory. For those that missed the team listings or the rules, fear not! All the info is posted on our Band page. With the help of a few clicks, we'll post the rules below.

Teams will have Tuesday and Wednesday to complete the first round's best of five matches. Team captains will need to report their scores to the event directors, ChexicanTaco98 or Freddy_Teddy_25 for score keeping.
If anyone has any questions regarding the event, feel free to message WLinden, ChexicanTaco98 or Freddy_Teddy_25 this week.
GUARDIANS OF THE MONTH
Each month we will highlight two guardians who have made our community a fun and helpful place. These two Guardians will also help us decide our next clan bounty. The admins are currently discussing this month's GotM and will announce the winners in next week's update!
GEAR OF THE WEEK
This week we finally have our first gear review! Let's hand over the mic to our Forgemaster for this week's review!
"I had planned to do a review on Colovance’s Duty because it was going to be the weapon you could get from Lord Saladin through Iron Banner this week, but we know how that went. I am still going through with the review though.
Colovance’s Duty is a scout rifle that can be obtained through Iron Banner as a end-of-match drop, bought from Saladin, or received in a rank 5 package."

PvP:
Hard hitting scout rifle; three shot headshot potential, which requires precision
Very good at long range. At close range you need to land your shots or you will be outgunned due to the slower fire rate.
Pairs well with a shotgun, fusion, or sidearm. I do not recommend sniping with this weapon as it is a long range scout and something that can cover short to medium range would work better.
Look for perks like Outlaw, Crowd Control, Third-Eye, or Life Support, and something for stability such as Braced Frame or Hand-Laid Stock down the middle.
PvE:
Deals a lot of damage against AI.
Perks are really what will make this gun shine in PvE. Look for something like Triple Tap, Firefly, or Life Support.
"Overall this weapon can be pretty versatile and is a solid choice as a scout rifle for both PvP and PvE. I know that my brother uses this gun a lot in his raids. Hopefully Lord Saladin will bring this beast back to us next week. Definitely recommend trying this gun out, so go and Chex it out!"
CLAN HIGHLIGHTS
Every week we ask that you send WLinden any cool videos you create, snapshots you capture, or anything related to the clan that YOU have a hand in making. Videos can come from Destiny, Overwatch, other games… It doesn’t matter! This is a section for you to show off what you do; just make sure you explain what you’re sharing! Once your video ends up here, we’ll move it to our gallery online!
This week’s highlights include:

admin thoughts
Nothing too important this week to add. You guys continue to rock the recruiting post and have really shown some growth as a community this week through helping each other. Keep up the awesome work everyone!
