WELCOME EVERYONE!
It’s finally here!! Our very first clan update. While this update is lighter than we aim for, this update serves as the foundation for what we aim to present week after week. Expect to find useful new info, updates from Bungie, new events, weekly weapon and gear reviews, and much more. To cap off each update we’ll share your awesome moments and add them to the website!
On that note, welcome to the first clan update!
NEW TO THE COMMUNITY OR BAND?
Make sure your name on BAND is your PSN (not a variation of it). Another acceptable display name is your PSN followed by your first name in brackets.
Make sure you have an avatar; It’s so much easier to figure out and associate who is talking.
We have a few simple rules to help keep our clan awesome…
1. Be respectful, to your clanmates and admins. Harassment, arguing, or general misconduct are the fastest ways to be removed from the clan.
Reports of RAGE QUITTING will receive one warning. A second offense will result in removal from the clan. (Rage quitting is defined as rudely exiting a game; whether that is PvP, or PvE related. We're all adults here, act like it if something is going wrong)
2. Be helpful. No one likes a lifeless group or a lack of a team for challenges. Hop in a new fireteam every now and help out.
3. Have fun and be mature. Joking around is ok, but let’s keep it relatively clean and appropriate. You’ll be warned once if you cross a line. Don’t be that guy to get booted for breaking a rule. No one likes that guy.
LUX IMPORTANT INFO
This week we’re very excited to announce the first of what we hope will be a handful of officers in our community. Before we announce our new officer, let’s take a moment to explain what an officer in Lux Viatores is and how they were chosen. An officer is not an admin, but is respected by the admins for their contributions to making this community great. While they may be chosen to help us in one area, an officer will typically be someone we see active in multiple chats, providing fun and help, and is in general good standing with the admins as well as their peers. Officers are leaders who we will turn to when large community decisions must be made. With that, I am very proud to introduce our first new officer, Forgemaster: ChexicanTaco98.
Most often referred to as Chex in chat, Chex has shown a loyalty to this game, and our community through his constant presence in our chats. Not only is he active, he is always answering questions and welcoming folks, and plays with everyone when his schedule allows it. As a founding member of CP Express, one of our sub-groups, Chex has taken his leadership and organized numerous “sweat” runs in the Crucible.
Join us in congradulating Chex on this amazing step forward, and thanking him for everything he continues to do for our community!
This week we will be presenting the first of our community events. A request very high on the list from a large chunk of our PvP faithful, we will be presenting our first 3v3 mini-tournament! This week we will be working with our new Forgemaster and Freddy_Teddy_25 to come up with a fair and simple scoring system for this event. The event will span over a week as we place teams in brackets and advance them with each point they earn. Keep your eyes on the main chatroom and our website for the full rules.
** In order to keep our group active and blossoming with fun events and friendly interactions, we will be doing a bi-monthly activity check. For those familiar with an activity check this isn’t too different than what you may have seen before. For those new to activity checks, here’s how they will work:
During the final week of an Activity check month (January, March, May, July, September, and November) we will post a simple poll with your clan name listed. All you need to do is click your clan button to mark your activity. Missing the post will result in a 7-day warning of removal from the Band chats. You will then receive a 14-day warning of removal from the clan itself. We understand life can happen and throw a wrench in plans, so we want to give everyone a chance to respond with plenty of time.
** As we update our website and grow our community, we want to highlight you guys for everything you do. Not just in Destiny, but all games and all aspects that make you who you are. To start the trend off right, we’re sharing our streamer info. Anyone with a streaming account can send their info to WLinden to have it added to our website and linked. You can share your Twitch and YouTube accounts, as well as UStream or any other service you may use.
As we add highlights each week, we’ll move as much of that content to our Gallery as we can! Our new Gallery can then be shared with friends and new members joining us to see what kind of fun and shenanigans we get into.
FROM BUNGIE
This section will be updated next week. There have been a lot of recent bomb-shell announcements that need some clarification before we share info. In short, we can confirm Rise of Iron exists and will be our next expansion. More info will come next week (and graphics!)
CLAN EVENTS
3v3 Tournament of Salt Rules will be discussed and finalized this week. Keep a watchful eye on the main chatroom.
Clan Bounties will also be coming soon. We're hoping to have Bounties ready by the end of the month.
GUARDIANS OF THE MONTH
Each month we will highlight two guardians who have made our community a fun and helpful place. These two Guardians will also help us decide our next clan bounty.
WEAPON OF THE WEEK
This section is the place where our new Forgemaster, ChexicanTaco98 can shine! Expect to see his first engram decryption next week!
CLAN HIGHLIGHTS
Every week we ask that you send WLinden any cool videos you create, snapshots you capture, or anything related to the clan that YOU have a hand in making. Videos can come from Destiny, Overwatch, other games… It doesn’t matter! This is a section for you to show off what you do; just make sure you explain what you’re sharing! Once your video ends up here, we’ll move it to our gallery online!

As we end our updates each week, our admins will share any final thoughts they have regarding the week’s events in our community, or constructive words to grow with. This week, we’re doing a live stream so our thoughts are shared there. Look for the stream recap sometime this week on our website.
